Baby Mushroom Amigurumi Free Pattern

Introduction

Hello everyone!! This is the first pattern I've written and distributed. It was definitely expirmental and helped me learn the basic shapes better. I definitely suggest looking through this pattern so you can benefit from learning the shapes as well.

Easy/Beginner

Materials

Yarn- Four colors of worsted weight yarn (body, mushroom head, mushroom head accessories, mouth). To create a thickness, use two strands of the same yarn together

Hook- 4.5mm 

Safety Eyes: Two 14mm eyes

Magic Ring

(___)x = repeat whatever is within the parenthesis for the indicated number of times

Gauge

Gauge is not necessary, just make sure all stitches are held with the same tension. Total size of project comes to about 5 inches

Pattern

Body:

Row 1: Magic Ring 6 sc   (6sts)

Row 2: 6 inc   (12 sts)

Row 3: (1 sc, 1 inc)x6   (18 sts)

Row 4: (2 sc, 1 inc)x6   (24 sts)

Row 5: (3 sc, 1 inc)x6   (30 sts)

Row 6: sc in all sts BLO   (30 sts)

Row 7: sc in all sts   (30 sts)

Row 8: (4 sc, 1 inc)x6   (36 sts)

Row 9:  (5sc, 1 inc)x6   (42 sts)

Row 10-13: sc in all sts   (42 sts)

Row 14: (5 sc, 1 dec)x6   (36 sts)

Row 15: sc in all sts   (36 sts)

Place eyes in between Row 12 and Row 13, 5 stitches apart

Using black yarn, embroider smile

Row 16: (4 sc, 1 dec)x6   (30 sts)

Row 17-23: sc in all sts   (30 sts)

Cut yarn and fasten off

Mushroom Head:

Row 1: magic ring 6 sc   (6 sts)

Row 2: 6 inc   (12 sts)

Row 3: (1 sc, 1 inc)x6   (18 sts)

Row 4: (2 sc, 1 inc)x6   (24 sts)

Row 5: (3 sc, 1 inc)x6   (30 sts)

Row 6: (4 sc, 1 inc)x6   (36 sts)

Row 7: (5 sc, 1 inc)x6   (42 sts)

Row 8: (6 sc, 1 inc)x6   (48 sts)

Row 9: (7 sc, 1 inc)x6   (54 sts)

Row 10: sc in all sts   (54 sts)

Row 11: (8 sc, 1 inc)x6   (60 sts)

Row 12-14: sc in all sts   (60 sts)

Row 15: (8 sc, 1 dec)x6   (54 sts)

Cut yarn and fasten off

Head Accessory:

Make 3

Row 1: magic ring 6 sc   (6 sts)

Row 2: inc x6   (12 sts)

Make 2

Row 1: magic ring 4 sc   (4 sts)

Row 2: inc x4   (8 sts)

Assembly:

Sew all head accessories onto mushroom head. Stuff mushroom body and sew mushroom head onto body.
